About the Event
We invite you to a contemporary dance class for free!
We have prepared a taster class of contemporary dance for you so that you can test whether contemporary dance is right for you. From September, we plan to open a 3-month contemporary dance course with the renowned Slovak choreographer Lucia Holinová Chovančíková.
Contemporary dance is a dance style that combines and uses the techniques of modern dance, ballet, jazz, improvisation, but also martial arts (aikido, tai-chi,...) or somatic approaches (feldenkrais, Alexander technique, BMC). Contemporary dance works with efficiency and energy recycling in dance, uses fall, hold, momentum and floor work, flow or inverted body positions.
The tasting class, as well as the course, are intended for everyone who already has experience with dance, movement, yoga, gymnastics, tai-chi, aikido, etc. They are not suitable for people who are just starting out with movement and dancing or they are just starting to get to know their body in motion (we recommend our morning lessons focused on getting to know the body and movement or individual lessons focused on movement or dance development).
