About the Event
Contact Impro Jam offers the opportunity to practice contact improvisation to everyone who already has experience with it. You will have the opportunity to freely enter and exit contact, dance together and alone in a space where physical contact is part of the dance.
We are glad that we can create this space together with you and thus expand the community of contact improvisation at SVK. Maybe you also have a desire, like us, to meet together in contact and be able to dance freely and freely to your heart's content in a quality connection.
We will start and end each jam in a common circle. If necessary, an initial accompaniment to the movement will be available.
The code of ethics that we apply to the jam session:
- respect (self, others, groups)
- anyone can say no at any time (verbally, non-verbally, leave kontakt apod)
- everyone is responsible for themselves
- we care about safety
- non-violent behavior and communication of needs
- we do not confuse contact improvisation with the Tatra approach or touch in contact as a sign of sexual favor
- we support contact improvisation as a form of creative, joint dance, where movement, social or mental needs are fulfilled

It is a space that we could call a dance hall.
