About the Event

The fruits of mother nature have ripened and it is time to collect them and prepare supplies for the winter.

The celestial energy cools and the cold wind blows the fallen leaves...

During this period, there is a balance between heated Yang and cooling Yin, emotions are more volatile and our temperament is more pronounced. And that's why we should focus our efforts in this period on building balance and peace.

Autumn is the season of the Tiger.

During this practical course, we will focus on traditional Taoist exercises to improve breathing habits, reduce the effect of smoking, and let go of regrets and regrets for what was. All of this damages our lung meridian, causing diarrhea and reducing the ability to absorb nutrients during the winter, which will cause physical problems in the spring.

The old masters taught that to maintain optimal health in the autumn season, we should work on our lungs. This will ensure a smooth transition into the winter period.

In this course, we will focus on developing Qi in the lung area, supporting our immune system, using selected exercises from "BaDuanJin" (8 silk brocades). It is important to note that it is not the exercises themselves that promote health, but the way they are performed. After familiarizing ourselves with the exercises, we will shift our attention to breath, posture, muscle tension/relaxation, range of motion, temperature change, electrical sensations, eye movement, pressure change, heart rate, and more.

The course will be conducted in English. If necessary, it will be translated into Slovak.

ENGLISH VERSION

Autumn QiGong

The fruits of nature reach maturity, this is a time for harvesting and storage for the winter months.

Heavenly energy cools down and the wind begins to stir...

At the balance point between stove Yang and passive Yin emotions become harsher and tempers short. Our efforts at this time, therefore, are directed to remaining calm and peaceful.

Autumn is the time of the Tiger.

During this practical course, we use traditional Daoist exercises to minimize the effects of poor breathing habits, excessive smoking and indulgence in grief, which can all cause damage to the lung meridian, causing diarrhea and poor uptake of nutrients during the winter season and result in physical problems during the springtime.

Ancient sages taught that to maintain optimum health at this time of year, we should work on our lungs through the autumn season to make the transition from to the winter season as smooth as possible. This will keep the lung energy full, clean and quiet.

On this course we focus on the development of lung Qi, boosting the body's natural healing energy/immune system using selected exercises from the “BaDuanJin” (8 silk brocades), the classical set of Chinese health movements.

Important Note On the "8 Silk Brocades":

It is NOT the exercises themselves which promote your health, but HOW you perform them! As you progress you will get better at paying attention to and directing such things as breathing, posture, muscle tension/relaxation, range of motion, internal muscle movements, temperature changes, electrical sensations, eye movements, pressure changes, heart rate, skin pore opening and closing, to mention just a few..
