Improvisation, composition, performance - a course for enthusiasts of movement, dance and exploration

This course is not for just anyone. In order to join this course, you need to find enough courage in yourself to overcome the fear or anxiety of having to move, dance, perform in front of someone. That someone will see you.

Maybe it sounds a little scary, but it is a beautiful process and a beautiful challenge that, when you overcome it, you enter a new world. Colorful, full, inspiring, creative and inquisitive. 

There is no right or wrong. Everything is a learning process. Something works for us more, something less.

I will accompany you through various improvisation tasks, offering different and different perspectives from which you can look at your speech. The topics that we will process will not be offered only by me, but will also be based on your needs.

The advantage is that you don't have to be a dancer (and certainly not a professional one) or have performance experience. It is completely sufficient if you find in yourself curiosity, determination and desire to explore (yourself, others, environment, inner and outer worlds). And just like everything we do, this course and what you experience on it will be very closely connected to your life. The more you dare to perform in such a safe space, the more you can find yourself performing in different situations of life.

So I invite you to enter the mystery and unknown of improvised movement, expression. We will dip in and out of fantasy, ideas, stories into reality and back. We will bend time and space and find movement to express where words are missing.

This course will also include outdoor work. In the exterior :) Maybe a little more challenge, maybe a little more excitement than such a performance, improvisation outside in a public space - site specific. We let ourselves be inspired by the environment, explore it with our senses and let it be extracted in our movement.

Regular price: 111 EUR

During the course, it is also possible to participate in individual lessons (registration is required in advance) - the price for one lesson is EUR 12 and is paid in cash or through registration on the website.

If you can't decide and you don't have a clear message "go for it", we offer you the opportunity to come to the first class and decide after it. The price of this class is 11 EUR (payment on the spot) and you need to register at info@movement-lab.net. If you decide to continue, the price per hour will be deducted from the course fee. :) It should be kept in mind, however, that if the full number of participants register for the entire course (max. 18), your trial class registration will be canceled as we prefer those interested in the entire course.

What will you need? comfortable clothes that won't put pressure on you, or socks (we'll be moving barefoot)

Magdaléna Takačová 

Co-founder of Movement LAB and OZ 4Arts Therapy, dance-movement therapist, coach, lecturer of contact improvisation, facilitator of authentic movement and embodiment meditations

After studying Strategic Management and Marketing, I worked for 12 years in the financial field in a management position. My many years of experience in leading exercise, dance and dance-music sessions led me to study dance-movement therapy, which I completed my 4-year training in the Czech Republic in 2017. I danced for 10 years in the integrated dance theater LEN TAK TAK, where people danced with and without a handicap. I was part of the creative and production process of performance projects. In 2019, I completed coaching training (according to ICF standards). In 2020, I completed the certified Teacher's Training at the Holistic Dance Institute in Vienna. I attended a number of foreign educational workshops focused on contemporary dance, applied anatomy in movement, bodywork, contact improvisation and somatic movement. In 2021, I entered TRE (trauma release exercises) and contact improvisation training in Poland.
